About me
I’m the editor of The Story, a digital magazine about the art and science of storytelling, and editorial lead at Fireside, a comms agency for those doing good in the world.
For a while there I was the editor of Smith Journal, a magazine about people with singular, sometimes harebrained but always interesting obsessions. You can read more about it over here.
In 2016, New York Magazine wrote about one of my tweets. My freelance writing has appeared in Junkee, frankie and The Age, among other places. Read the more serious of these pieces here, or the more foolish ones here.
I’ve interviewed all sorts of people, up to and including Fred Armisen, George Saunders, Grimes, and Tim Heidecker. I’ve emceed live events and given the odd speech. No TED Talks. Yet.
I’m also a freelance copywriter and content strategist. I’ve made things for Porsche, ING, ANZ, Universal Studios and Telstra, and worked in-house for MYOB. One time I ghostwrote something for a famous football player, but I’m not allowed to say who.
